The Detroit Lions are re-opening both Ford Field and their Allen Park practice facility, but neither players nor coaches will be onsite for what would have been the start of mandatory minicamp next week.
The team said in a statement Friday that Phase 1 of its employee return-to-work program will start Wednesday.
"Our staff across all departments have worked diligently while remote and we are appreciative of our hard-working employees," the Lions said in a statement. "Several committees have been preparing for this phased approach to resume our operation to ensure employee safety is the priority.
