Detroit Lions' season finale in Green Bay will be played in primetime

Allen Park — The Detroit Lions will close out the NFL regular season against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. The NFL announced Monday afternoon the game will be flexed to the primetime slot.

It will be Detroit's first primetime game of the season and first outside the standard 1 p.m. start window.

“I don’t care," Lions coach Dan Campbell said about the potential timeslots of Detroit's game prior to the league's announcement. "I just want to play. It’s coming, and it’ll be down the wire and they’ll be there, we’ll be there, and it’s going to be fun.
