Unofficial or not, the Detroit Lions aren't handing their first-round pick a starting job yet.

The Lions released their first depth chart of the season Sunday, and while the chart is unofficial and put together by the team's communications department, first-round pick T.J. Hockenson is listed as the backup to Jesse James at tight end.

Neither player's standing on the depth chart comes as much surprise.

James has played primarily with the first-team offense this summer, while Hockenson has taken more reps in a backup role.
