New Detroit Lions cornerback Jeff Okudah said the best player he had to cover in college was Wisconsin receiver Quintez Cephus. Now, the two are teammates.
The Lions took Cephus with their first of two fifth-round picks Saturday, No. 166 overall. The pick was one of two acquired in March's trade of Darius Slay to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I’ll give y’all an interesting name,” Okudah said at February's NFL combine when asked about the best receiver he faced.
