The first throw of the first series of the first NFL game of David Blough’s career did not go well.

On second-and-10 from the Detroit 25, the Detroit Lions’ undrafted rookie third-string quarterback saw tight end T.J. Hockenson open deep in the middle of the field. He cocked his arm and let it go.

The ball fell about 10 yards short.

“Yeah, just a low ball, safety was a little low, but just a low ball,” Blough said.
