Week 3 of the preseason has always been a dry run for the regular season, and for the Detroit Lions that means more than just playing starters deeper into the game.
Coach Matt Patricia said he treats this week as a crash course for players in "how to handle the in-season schedule," including how they should study opponents on film.
"It’s a little bit difficult, obviously, with large rosters on both sides of the ball," Patricia said.
