One of the big misconceptions about sports writing is that covering a losing team isn’t interesting.
Oh, how wrong that is.
It can be difficult, frustrating and tedious. Boring it ain’t.
In fact, I’ve found covering a losing team tends to be more interesting because of all the stress that failure creates. Jobs and futures are on the line and it’s always fascinating to see how people react to that stress.
