Detroit Lions place Jashon Cornell on IR, re-sign Wes Hills, cut Luke Sellers

On Thursday morning, Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia announced that seventh-round rookie defensive lineman Jashon Cornell will be placed on injured reserve, ending his 2020 season. He also announced three other moves: fullback Luke Sellers has been cut, while the Lions have re-signed both running Wes Hills and wide receiver Chris Lacy.

Cornell was injured midway through Tuesday’s practice after collapsing to the ground during a one-on-one pass rushing rep. He appeared to be clutching his left left for several minutes before he was carted off by the team’s medical personnel.
