Detroit Lions observations: Dormant pass rush, poor offense vs. Texans

A painful look back at all the heartache and pain that litters the Detroit Lions' recent history. Kirkland Crawford, Detroit Free Press

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL last season, but in the first quarter of Saturday’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions, they looked like a wall of steel.

The Lions put no meaningful pressure on quarterback Deshaun Watson on his only drive of the game, allowing the Texans to march 75 yards in 11 plays for an easy touchdown.

Now, the Lions are without four of their top five defensive linemen.
