Nevin Lawson held the hottest receiver in the NFL to season-lows in catches and yards, but the competitor in him still wasn’t happy with how he played in last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
“He scored a touchdown,” Lawson said.
“He” is Vikings receiver Adam Thielen, who had eight straight 100-yard receiving games before Lawson held him to four catches and 22 yards on seven targets last week.
And, yes, Thielen scored a touchdown — a crucial one late in the first half two plays after Dalvin Cook’s 70-yard run — but Lawson played probably his best game of the season overall.
