NAPA, Calif. — The Detroit Lions’ linebacker room has a little bit of a different look to it these days, with two relatively new additions – Miles Killebrew and Alex Barrett – spending part of their time learning the position.
Killebrew, a former safety, worked exclusively as a linebacker in position drills this week as the Lions try and determine what if any role he can have on defense this year. Barrett, a converted defensive lineman – he played end for the Lions last year, and some nose tackle in college – has been seeing time as a stand-up pass-rushing linebacker (think Devon Kennard’s backup) since the spring.
