The Detroit Lions are adding another former New England Patriot to their defense.
The Lions and cornerback Rashaan Melvin agreed to a one-year deal Friday night that could be worth as much as $3.5 million.
Melvin made seven starts last season for the Oakland Raiders, and spent part of the 2015 season playing for Lions coach Matt Patricia in New England.
He's the third ex-Patriot the Lions have added to their defense this offseason, and the fourth ex-Patriot overall.
