NAPA, Calif. — As someone I was standing next to on the sideline said Wednesday, it was bound to happen.
The Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders held their second of two joint practices Wednesday at Redwood Middle School behind the Napa Valley Marriott, and the highlight of the day was a skirmish that broke out during an early-practice run drill.
It was more pushing and shoving than fistfight, but a few players ended up tangled on the ground as tempers flared and the teams had to be separated.
