Detroit Lions injury report: Desmond Trufant (hamstring) returns to practice

The Detroit Lions continue to trend in the right direction when it comes to their health. On Thursday, another starter returned to practice after missing a game.

Cornerback Desmond Trufant, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, returned to practice for the first time since his injury. Initially, head coach Matt Patricia said Trufant would not practice on Thursday, but it’s clear he made some progress before the team took the field.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press noted his level of participation during the portion of practice open to media (first 15 minutes or so):

Patricia said Desmond Trufant wasn’t gonna be doing much at practice today, but he was out there during individual doing backpedal and turn and PBU drills, working at a decent pace.
