MOBILE, Ala. — The Detroit Lions hired an offensive coordinator best known for his power running game at a time when the NFL is trending more towards passing, but general manager Bob Quinn said he does not expect Darrell Bevell's play calling to approach an extreme one way or another.
"He's been in a couple different offenses," Quinn said Monday in a SiriusXM NFL radio interview with Gil Brandt and Alex Marvez. "Really threw the ball around a lot in Green Bay early in his career, had kind of a run-based attack in Minnesota and Seattle, but he can do some West Coast stuff, he can do a ground-and-pound.
