For the past few weeks, speculation has spread about the Detroit Lions potentially trading wide receiver Jameson Williams. After Day 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft, Lions general manager Brad Holmes emphatically shut down that conversation
“No, that’s something that we have never entertained. I don’t know where that report came from, but that’s not a conversation that me and Dan (Campbell) have ever had,” Holmes said.
Speculation began when Holmes said at the owners meeting that they were not ready to commit to a long-term deal with Williams, noting that that’s a tough position to pay.
