Bob Quinn has a type. And after a rocky relationship with that type in 2019, he might be looking for someone new.

After employing an array of minimum-salary backup quarterbacks during his tenure as Detroit Lions general manager, both aging veterans who struggled to find work elsewhere (Matt Cassel, Dan Orlovsky, Tom Savage) and young rookies who were the apple of no one's eye (Jake Rudock, Brad Kaaya, David Blough), Quinn acknowledged in his season-ending news conference Monday that he might need to sink more resources into the position this offseason.
