Detroit Lions' Frank Ragnow to start at left guard? Not so fast

Frank Ragnow did not take a single snap at center during three mandatory minicamp practices this spring or the two organized team activity workouts that were open to the media.

But Lions offensive line coach Jeff Davidson insisted Thursday that Ragnow's position this fall — widely expected to be left guard — still hasn't been decided.

"I’m not willing to say that’s going to be the best fit," Davidson said. "We’ll see guys at different positions still (in training camp)."

The Lions took Ragnow with the 20th pick of the first round in April's draft, and the Arkansas product is expected to start immediately on an offensive line that returns four of five starters from a unit that allowed 47 sacks last year.
