Detroit Lions draft tackle Joe Dahl

After dipping briefly in the skill position pool of players in the fourth round, Lions general manager Bob Quinn went beck to the trenches in selecting Washington State tackle Joe Dahl with his first pick of the fifth round (No. 151 overall).

Dahl joins first-round pick Taylor Decker as the second tackle taken by the Lions so far in this draft.

After spending one year at the University of Montana and another sitting out as a transfer student, Dahl stepped into the starting lineup for the Cougars and stayed there for the next three years.
