Detroit Lions' briefest moment of hope snuffed out by pick-six, but Wes Hills was nice to see

Free Press reporter Carlos Monarrez answers three questions about the Detroit Lions' 38-17 loss Sunday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.

What did you think about the Lions’ blowout loss?

On a day when the Lions had little to play for, seemed out of the fight, and were losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 21-3, at halftime while being outgained 308 yards to 45, there was little reason to hope for anything in this game.

And then something happened. The fans at Ford Field started the wave with less than 7 minutes left. The Lions, behind a former Division II running back who had been out of football and working as a security guard two years ago, had mounted an improbable comeback and trailed, 24-17.
