Detroit Lions begin first wave of roster cuts

ALLEN PARK -- The first wave of cuts are in.

The Detroit Lions are parting with cornerback Sterling Moore, according to a source. The Detroit Free Press was first to report the news.

Receiver Brian Brown (NFL.com) and offensive lineman Jamar McGloster (ESPN) have also been cut according to various reports.

The Lions are now at 84 players. They have until 4 p.m. Saturday to get down to 53.

That's 31 more moves to come in the next 25 hours, one of which is expected to be an injury designation for Andy Jones.
