Eleventh time is a charm, maybe.

The Detroit Lions signed quarterback Kyle Sloter off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad on Saturday and placed Jeff Driskel on injured reserve.

The Lions also signed quarterback Joe Callahan to their practice squad.

Sloter and Callahan are the 10th and 11th quarterbacks to spend time on the Lions' 53-man roster this calendar year, as the team has spent much of 2019 searching for a backup for Matthew Stafford.
