Now that we’ve had a little more time to digest the Detroit Lions’ 2018 schedule (and the schedules of every other NFL team as well), here are some quick-hit thoughts on the season ahead:
• We’ll find out pretty early on if the Lions are legitimate playoff contenders. The Lions have a very winnable opener, at home on Monday night, against a bad New York Jets team that could be starting a rookie quarterback.
