After parting ways with Joique Bell, and opting not to invest a high-round draft pick or significant free agent dollars into a replacement, it appears the Detroit Lions are fully prepared to lean more heavily on 2015 second-round draft pick Ameer Abdullah.

After a shaky start to his rookie campaign, with the primary issue being ball security, Abdullah came on strong in the second half of the season, averaging a healthy 4.
