The Detroit Lions entered Thursday night in a must-win situation. After falling to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving and the Chicago Bears upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, the Lions sunk further down the NFC North standings. Standing opposite them were the Dallas Cowboys, who were on a roll as of late, most recently defeating the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday.
The Lions entered halftime with a 20-9 lead. The defense did their part, preventing the Cowboys from scoring a touchdown and limiting them to three field goals. But they needed to keep it up in the second half.
