In 2011, Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford became the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 5,000 yards. Here’s why he could do it again.

The Detroit Lions spent a lot of time this offseason adding to their offensive unit. Bringing in four notable skill players and three offensive linemen. With new faces in town and quarterback Matthew Stafford’s strong play last season, is it plausible to say he could go over 5,000 yards once again?

Before his season-ending injury during Week Eight’s loss to the Oakland Raiders, Stafford was on pace for exactly 4,998 yards and 38 touchdowns.
