Calvin Johnson vanishes from Detroit Lions offense

ST. LOUIS -- Calvin Johnson had played 132 regular-season games for the Detroit Lions heading into this one.

And he had at least one catch in every single one of them.

But that streak came dangerously close to ending during an uncharacteristically quiet game in Sunday's 21-14 loss against the St. Louis Rams.

Johnson didn't catch his first pass until 2:25 remained in the game, when he hauled in a 16-yarder that moved Detroit onto the goal line. One play later, Golden Tate caught his second touchdown pass of the day, and the Lions were within a touchdown.
