The Chicago Cubs won their first World Series in 108 years Wednesday, beating the Cleveland Indians in extra innings, 8-7.

They broke the longest championship drought in all of sports. They exorcised the Curse of the Billy Goat and Steve Bartman. And in the process, they gave hope to legions of Detroit Lions fans watching around the country.

If the loveable losers from the North Side can do it, we can, too.
