In a game where the Detroit Lions' defense let quite a bit go, especially in the secondary, the offense finally became their saving grace.
Detroit completely ran over Washington's defense by a final score of 44-22, masking some issues with their pass rush and secondary to rout a struggling Commanders team. Injuries have decimated the Commanders, to be sure, but you'd expect a slightly better fight from their defense than what was put up against the Lions in this one.
Seeing one of your best available defenders ejected in the first half will do that to you.
