Just over a year ago, Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes made the aggressive move to jump five spots in the first round to grab cornerback Terrion Arnold. With a huge run of offensive players early in the draft, Holmes believed they were getting tremendous value in Arnold that late in the first round—setting up pretty high expectations for the former Crimson Tide defender.
Arnold’s rookie season had its ups and downs, but he enters his second season with a load of expectation. With a new teammate opposite him—free agent acquisition D.J. Reed—it will be on Arnold to help lead the cornerback room as the other presumed starter.
