The Lions added a pass rusher atop the third round of the NFL Draft, and it will be a familiar name — literally. The Lions selected Notre Dame defensive end Julian Okwara, brother of current Lion Romeo. It’s a Shakespearean family reunion.

Perhaps the Lions’ biggest weakness in 2019 was their pass rush. Opposing quarterbacks had ages to throw the football, and while contain was prioritized by Matt Patricia’s scheme, the lack of pass rush was brutal for the secondary.
