With the 35th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions have selected Georgia running back D’Andre Swift.
For the second time in three years, the Lions have selected a running back in the second round after taking Kerryon Johnson back in 2017. Detroit had a somewhat pressing need at the running back position after both Johnson and Bo Scarbrough dealt with injury issues in 2019.
Swift is one of the most athletic running backs in this draft, although he measures on the smaller side at the position.
