For a 26-year-old kid who already threw for 5,000 yards in a season, Matt Stafford sure doesn't get much respect.
While doubters are quick to point out that Detroit's vertical passing game pads his numbers (that Calvin Johnson guy doesn't hurt either), but you don't see justice to the grit and toughness that Stafford brings to the field every time he plays. This incredible video from Stafford's rookie year will show you why Lions fans are so quick to rally behind this guy...and it might just turn doubters into fans:
