The film of Sunday’s loss to Milwaukee won’t be kind to the Nuggets, but it’s the film coach Michael Malone expected his players to watch coming into the game that might have him more frustrated.
Bucks starting center Brook Lopez torched the Nuggets from beyond the arc, knocking down eight 3-pointers including six of seven in the third quarter alone. Lopez entered shooting 39 percent on the season from 3, and in Saturday’s loss to the Clippers, he buried 6-of-12 from deep. That he was a high-volume 3-point shooter (6.7 attempts per game) should’ve been known, yet Nikola Jokic continually sagged too deep, couldn’t recover and got burned.
