After the game, I was talking to some people about what to make of Nikola Jokic’s ridiculous night. Two years ago, this line would’ve led sports center, especially when you factor in all of the highlight worthy passes. Fast forward to 2019, and a 19 point, 15 assist, 14 rebound triple-double is unremarkable great.
It’s not that it wasn’t impressive. It’s that Jokic is so consistently great that this is just who he is. MVP chants rained down on his as he walked off of the court tonight and Jokic said after the game that he appreciated the love.
