Forty-two years, that’s how long it has been. Longer than Star Wars has been a thing, longer than the time since the NBA and ABA merged and as long of a time as computers have been able to be put in a home. Forty-two years, that’s how long it’s been since the Denver Nuggets played in a championship, that was also the last year of the ABA. Since that six game ABA Finals that saw the Nuggets vanquished by Julius Erving and his New York Nets, Denver has failed to return to a championship series, much less win one.
