David Adelman is part physician, part Tony Robbins, and full-on Kenny Atkinson.
This was my takeaway from Josh Kroenke’s season-ending press conference Thursday regarding the boss’ view of his new coach. If Kroenke is correct — and he was about firing Michael Malone to inspire a longer playoff run — Adelman will keep stars healthier with more strategic rest, motivate the roster through collaboration and develop a bench of young players.
Adelman is a talented guy. But forgive me for thinking this will join “losing 30 pounds this summer” in the Museum of Broken Promises.
