In their first preseason game of the 2022-23 season, the Denver Nuggets suffered a 112-101 loss at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Even though it came in a loss, it was nice to have Nuggets basketball back and it was especially nice to see Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back on the court for Denver.
It was a tough start for Murray as he opened the game 0-of-2 shooting from the field, while Porter had six points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field after the first quarter. Denver trailed 30-21 following the opening frame as they struggled to shoot from beyond the arc opening the game 0-of-5 from three.
