Paul Millsap a game-time decision to play for Denver Nuggets Tuesday against Los Angeles Clippers, but realizes return from wrist surgery is imminent

As Paul Millsap pulled up to the Pepsi Center for Tuesday morning’s Nuggets shootaround, tears began welling in his eyes.

Whether the Nuggets’ all-star power forward plays in Denver’s key matchup against the Clippers will be determined just before tipoff. But Millsap now realizes his return from a November reconstructive wrist surgery is finally imminent as the Nuggets continue their playoff push. And the man known for his stoic demeanor could not help but get emotional when he arrived at work.

“I feel like I’m a tough guy,” Millsap said of his morning cry. “For something that significant to happen, it means a lot to get to this point from where I was.
