Denver Nuggets fans are slowly coming to the realization that DaRon Holmes is simply not a starting center-caliber player. He's gotten quite a bit more playing time in the last week with Nikola Jokic sidelined, but it's becoming evident that Holmes, while capable as a four or five in limited minutes, is overall best suited as a depth piece coming off the bench.
It's obvious that Denver's rotation has been put under a microscope with Jokic out. Fans somewhat expected the Nuggets to survive with competent big minutes from Holmes. Instead, what we're seeing is a recurring theme of him contributing in spurts, but lacking the consistency and impact required of a starter on a title contender.
