CHICAGO – When Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic ambled to his assigned podium at Saturday’s All-Star availability, he was overjoyed to find a personalized embroidered hat waiting in his seat.
As he looked around, taking stock of the assembled media, he exclaimed how happy he was that there were more Serbian media members than any of the typical faces who cover him regularly.
Less burdened this year than he was by last year’s All-Star obligations, Jokic was lighthearted and jovial for more than 20 minutes Saturday morning at Wintrust Arena on the Southside of Chicago. He breezily answered questions, volleying between his native Serbian and English.
