PHILADELPHIA – As Nuggets rookie Michael Porter Jr. worked through his pregame shooting routine Tuesday night, he knew something only a select few did.
With the offense scuffling and in need of a spark, the plan was to give Porter some extended run in valuable minutes against an elite opponent.
Porter had a suspicion that his name would get called, which is why he worked an early sweat during his pregame shootaround. After running through the typical shooting drills, he capped off his preparation with a windmill jam.
“Did you get it on video?” Porter asked jokingly in the pregame locker room.
