It’s Wednesday and Nikola Jokiu0107 has just arrived in Denver after a transatlantic, cross country trip from Serbia. Jetlagged and still recovering from an eight-game run at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, the Nuggets’ All-NBA First Team center had every excuse to allow himself to kick back ahead of the team’s training camp next week in Colorado Springs.
However, there was one event the 24-year-old refused to miss – Tim and Negah Connelly’s Ping Pong charity fundraiser for LuBird’s Light Foundation.
“Just to see and hear some stories and feel the [experiences] of different [people],” Jokiu0107 explained to Nuggets.
