Nuggets’ Michael Malone, teammates in awe of Nikola Jokic: “This is normal for him now”

SACRAMENTO — Nikola Jokic made NBA history on Sunday night, and then the ho-hum superstar let his wife sleep in.

After scoring 30 points in the fourth quarter and overtime of the Nuggets’ gripping comeback win over New Orleans, Jokic’s recovery day (which happened to be a game-day) was a relatively unremarkable one.

“I woke up at 8, probably,” he said. “I was with my daughter a little bit. Then Natalija wake up, made me breakfast. Fell asleep a little bit. … My chef came and made me lunch. Then I came here. Crazy day, huh?”

His crazy day culminated with a second consecutive triple-double, this time with 32 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists in a 131-124 win over the Warriors.
