Nuggets can’t survive Jamal Murray injury in loss to Sixers

PHILADELPHIA – Thrust into a worst-case scenario, the Nuggets did their best to survive.

After a first-quarter injury to Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray, Denver leaned heavily on its depth but couldn’t hang with the Philadelphia 76ers in Tuesday’s 97-92 loss. The Sixers improved to 13-0 at home, while the Nuggets dropped to 14-8 on the season, wrapping up a difficult 1-3 road trip.

“I give our guys a lot of credit,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. “End of a long road trip, not the result that we wanted, obviously, but cannot fault the effort.
