There were a lot of concerning elements to the Nuggets’ 127-126 loss to the Magic on Saturday night, but perhaps nothing was worse than seeing Anthony Black torch them for a career-high 38 points on 14-24 shooting, including 7-11 threes, to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Black is a nice, young, third-year player who’s experiencing a bit of a breakout campaign, but still, he averages 15.1 points per game on the season, and 8.6 for his career. He’s a role player. He may have a higher ceiling than that, as he’s still just 21 years old after being the 6th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
