NEW YORK – Earlier this season, the Nets handed the Nuggets one of their most frustrating losses of the year.
Playing their third game of a four-game road trip Wednesday night, the Nuggets didn’t come close to returning the favor.
Brooklyn stormed out to a double-digit lead in the first half and rarely relented, hanging on for a 135-130 victory that wasn’t as close as the final score indicated. The Nuggets, helpless on the perimeter, gave up 19-of-34 3-pointers and dropped to 37-17.
“Nineteen threes is an awful number but more alarming for me is back-to-back games when we have guys in our starting lineup that are out there and not playing as hard as they need to play,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said.
