NEW ORLEANS – The Nuggets secured one of their more satisfying wins of the season, and their coach, Michael Malone, didn’t even stick around to see it.
After he was ejected and forced to watch the remainder of the game from the locker room, his team rallied behind their superstar center. Down two starters and another key reserve, Nikola Jokic willed the Nuggets to a gutsy, resilient 113-106 win. Now 31-14 on the season, the Nuggets notched their road record to 14-8.
In the same building where they were roundly embarrassed on Halloween and against the same team that took it to them on Christmas, Jokic didn’t let them lose Friday night.
