After Will Barton heard it from Denver fans, Nuggets center Nikola Jokic made sure Denver fans heard from him.
“Actually, I want to say something: I didn’t like that the crowd and the fans booed Thrill,” Jokic, the Nuggets’ all-star big man, said to reporters during a media scrum inside the home locker room at Pepsi Center after Denver’s 114-105 NBA Playoffs win over San Antonio. “I think (Barton) did a lot of things for … this organization.”
The 28-year-old swing man was the only Nuggets starter not to score at least 20 points late Tuesday night and struggled throughout the contest, connecting on just 1 of 10 attempts from the floor and misfiring on three of four free-throw attempts.
