As Altitude Sports’ impasse with the big three television providers stretches toward two months, efforts to show pirated broadcasts for at least one local bar have been thwarted.
Blake Street Tavern in downtown Denver received a cease-and-desist order from the NHL Thursday after showing an illegal broadcast of Avalanche game Monday night. One day later, the NBA followed suit, even though owner Chris Fuselier had yet to show any pirated Nuggets games this season.
“That was like a preemptive strike,” Fuselier joked.
